Semiya/ Vermicelli / Sevaai/ Sevvai Kesari or Halwa

Bambino or any vermicelli/semiya - 1 cup
Sugar - 3/4 cup( granulated... can increase to 1 cup if u need more sweetness)
Water - 1 1/2 cups
Food colour - a pinch
Ghee - 2 or 3 tbsp
Cashew and raisins - few
Cardamom powder - a pinch

Roast semiya in kadai till they are light brown...remove and keep aside.

Heat 1 tbsp of ghee in a kadai and fry cashew and raisins ... when they turn light brown ... remove and keep aside...in the same kadai add water and food colour..... allow it to boil and bubble up...next add semiya and cook for 3 - 4 minutes or until done...then add sugar and cook again for 3 - 4 minutes in medium flame ...finally add cardamom powder, cashew and raisins and remaining ghee...mix well.
