Okra/ladies finger - 1 pack ( around 30)
Onion - 1 medium
Jeera - 1/2 tbsp
Sambar powder - 2 tbsp
Turmeric powder - 1/4 tbsp
garlic powder - 1 tsp
Lime juice - few drops
Wash and dry okras...cut the top edge of all and just slit once in the middle ..just half way through...
Chop onions into thin lengthwise pieces.
Mix sambar powder, turmeric powder,little salt, garlic powder, lime juice and if need few drops of water to a thick paste...add this stuffing to the inner part of each okra's..just little amount for each...
Set the oven under broil...place all the okra's in a foil sheet...apply/spray some oil on top and keep them in the oven for around 10 minutes...remove ..
Heat oil in a kadai and add jeera/cumin seeds...when they splutter and onions and fry till light brown...finally add the okras and saute for 5 more minutes...add salt mix and remove...
You can also avoid the oven part and fry it completely in the kadai itself.
