Apple Chutney. Best if using green or granny smith apple so you can get the tangy taste just like mango.

This is also called as apple thokku/gojju

Granny smith preferably ( since it has that tangy taste) or even other apples ( I have tried with red apples but have added little extra chilli powder )

Apple - 2
Mustard seeds - 1/2 tsp
Curry leaves - few
Salt as needed
Chilli powder - 1 tsp
Hing - a pinch
Methi powder - 1/4 tsp
Oil - 1 tbsp
lime juice few drops(optional)

Peel and grate apple( can also add few drops of lime juice to avoid discolouring)
Heat a tbsp of oil and add mustard seeds and curry leaves...few secs later add hing and methi powder...saute and add chilli powder and grated apple...reduce flame and cook for few minutes till apples are soft and finally add salt.
