Potato - 4 or 5 medium
Onion - 1 medium chopped fine
Chilli powder - 1 tbsp
Fennel seeds - 1/2 tbsp
( crushed coarsely)
Mustard seeds,channa dhal, urad dhal + curry leaves - few
Cut potatoes into small cubes and soak in water so that they don't discolour.
Heat oil in a pan and add mustard seeds, channa dhal, urad dhall and curry leaves...when they splutter add onions and fry till light brown...drain water from potato and add..stir and fry now and then....when they are 3/4 th cooked add the powders,salt and mix well...cook till done and remove...can use as a side dish with rice or chapathi's.
