Mint / Pudina Chutney for Idli Dosa


Mint leaves - 1 bunch
Coconut - 1/2 cup grated
Green chillies - 4 or 5
Garlic - 3 flakes
Tamarind - 1 small piece
Pottu kadalai/dalia split - 2 tbsp
Salt as needed
Oil - 1/2 tsp



For tempering:

Mustard seeds - few
Urad dhal - few
Curry leaves - few
Oil - 1/2 tsp






In a kadai/or small pan heat oil and add cleaned and washed mint leaves....fry well till it shrinks...next add garlic and green chillies(can also add without frying that is fresh garlic and chillies )...remove and cool...take this mix with other ingredients and grind in a mixer with salt to a fine paste...

Heat oil in a small pan and add the tempering ingredients...when they splutter up...pour it on the chutney...goes well idli or dosa.
